YAA wraps up inaugural Scholastic Art Awards campaign with “Best of Arizona Student Art Show 2015” Exhibit and Gallery reception

Families, artist-authors, educators, and other supporters attended the closing reception for the “Best of Arizona Student Art Show 2015” on the afternoon of Saturday, April 25 at the Fountain Hills Community Center in Fountain Hills.

“The show is full of impressive and varied work from around the state that actually looks very cohesive as a collection,” said 2015 YAA Scholastic Art Awards Coordinator Jon Jeffery, prior to the event. “It will be sad to take it down, but the reception will give [attendees] a chance to see the entire show in person and meet other participating artists before that happens.”

Attendees came, walked the gallery, and many artist-authors gave detailed explanations of their pieces. Attendees then ate cake, socialized, and enjoyed a raffle for the exhibition’s poster.

In a look to this summer, YAA President Billy Gerchick invited artist-authors and families to participate in the Convergence collaboration endeavor this summer.
