Sign up for Central Arizona Writing Project’s 2013 Writing Contest Workshop

Hosted by the Central Arizona Writing Project’s rl txt Youth Writing Program this December 7th at Arizona State University in Tempe

This ninety-minute workshop will revolve around polishing a poem, story, or essay and then completing the entry forms to enter it in a national writing contest. Each young author will leave the workshop with submissions prepared to enter any or all of three writing contests.
  1. Every student will leave the workshop having submitted an entry in one or more categories in the Central Arizona Writing Project Youth Writing Contest.
  2. The 2014 Scholastic Writing Awards
  3. The Writing Conference, Inc. Contest
Workshop details
Date: Saturday December 7, 2013
Time: From 9:00-10:30am
Location: ASU Tempe Campus; Lattie Coor Hall; L1-50/L1-54 (free parking nearby)
Cost: $45 (checks only)

The name “rl txt” intends to send a subliminal message: this program is about producing genuine writing, writing with voice, not something scripted but something self-initiated and meaningful to the writer — writing that matters.
